Hi there! I’m the photographer behind First 48 Moments, and my mission is simple: to capture the precious, irreplaceable moments of your newborn’s first hours in the world. Those tiny yawns, the first time you hold them close, those early connections—they’re moments that fly by, but they deserve to be preserved forever.

I know that having a male photographer may feel unexpected for some, and I believe in being fully transparent. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible during this special time. What We Offer

What’s the cost for a First 48 photo session?
The total investment is $1,200, which includes a $200 non-refundable deposit. This deposit secures your session for a whole week because, well, babies come on their own schedule! We’re flexible to ensure we capture those early moments, no matter when your little one decides to arrive.

What’s included in the $1,200 fee?
For $1,200, I’ll be there with you for 3-5 hours, documenting the moments just after your baby’s birth. You can expect 150-200 professionally edited images that capture the pure emotions of this special time. And if you’d like to see more, I can even provide the full batch of photos for you to review.

Why does the session cost $1,200?
I believe your newborn’s first hours deserve more than a rushed session. Unlike many photographers who might offer 30-minute packages, I dedicate several hours to be present, capturing the quiet, tender moments that tell your family’s full story. This is not just a quick photo shoot; it’s an investment in preserving memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Can you photograph the birth itself?
Absolutely! I can document the birthing process for an additional $1,000. It’s an incredibly powerful moment, and I approach it with care and sensitivity, ensuring I’m unobtrusive while capturing every raw emotion. Please talk with your medical team in advance to ensure everyone’s comfortable with the plan.

How We Work

What’s your photography style?
My style is documentary and natural. I’m all about capturing the authentic, unposed moments as they happen, allowing you to relive those beautiful early hours just as they were.

Can we get the RAW photos?
Yes! For an additional $150, I can provide the RAW files. But keep in mind, these aren’t edited and may not have the polished look you’re used to.

When do you arrive for the session?
I’m flexible with timing but aim to arrive within the first 5 to 48 hours of your baby’s birth. I’ve been known to show up at 3 a.m. if that’s when your baby makes their debut!

How long does a session last?
Sessions typically last between 3-5 hours, but I’m happy to stay longer to ensure we capture all the moments.

Will you interact with the baby?
My approach is mostly hands-off. I observe and capture moments naturally as they unfold, but I’ll always follow your preferences.

When will we receive our photos?
Expect to receive your beautifully edited photos within 3-4 weeks after the session.

How do we book a session?
You can book your session by reaching out through our contact page. A $200 non-refundable deposit secures your spot, with the remaining balance due by the day of the session.

How do you ensure the safety of our newborn?
Safety is my top priority. I follow strict hygiene protocols, including sanitizing all equipment and wearing a mask if requested. I also keep up to date with vaccinations and wear hospital-appropriate gear if needed, especially during C-sections.
